Outside of the winners at Plug and Play 2008, some of the other interesting companies that demoed were: mEgo is an interactive portable profile. “mEgo solves the problem of having to create and maintain different profiles on

each social network and site that you belong to.” This is good for people like me whose Facebook profile is limited and lame, due to Friendster- and Myspace-profile burnout.

Dixero: Aggregates your RSS feeds and reads them aloud in different kinds of voices. Hopefully they’ll have Orson Welles.

MyWay interactive: Social Network for salespeople. “The MyWay Network provides the collaboration, communication and virtualization infrastructure that connects multiple sales teams and their opportunities together with integration to a personal CRM system.)”

MyLawsuit.com is an attorney-referral and bidding service, an information locus for plaintiffs and attorneys, and helps find financing for cases and case portfolios.

stitcher: like Pandora, but for news.

voyij might become a must for the Lonely Planet crowd. It’s like Travelocity, but for the hard to find special deals and deep discounts.  I thought this was more intersting than winner travelfli, but the audience of investor judges probably falls outside the budget-traveler demographic.

Bojam: Online music collaboration has been done before, but is always cool. One of those technologies that would have made my life completely different, had it been available when I was young.  Plus, the name reminds me of "Mr. Bojangles."
